Ulusaba Rock Lodge is perched high on the summit of a koppie, on a 13,500ha private concession of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. It is accessible by road and air. The drive from Johannesburg is approximately 7 hours.
The Lodge has eight rooms, including a Master Suite, Makwela Suites, 4 adjoining Rock Cliff Rooms, each with their own private balcony, two connected by a split level spiral staircase, and a two-bedroom Rock Suite. Each one is intricately designed in a traditional African style, with plunge pools.
Facilities include a cosy wide windowed lounge, with big movie screen, wine lounge showcasing various vintages, Aroma Bar, offering various treatments, outdoor swimming pool, viewing decks with telescopes, a gym with running machine, bike, a multifunctional weight station and tennis courts.
Enjoy twice-daily game drives traversing an area frequented by the Big 5 and other wildlife. Bushwalks and a cultural visit to a local Shangaan village are also available on request.
