Thornybush Game Lodge is located 5 hr 42 min drive from Johannesburg, in the 14,000 hectare private Big 5 Thornybush Nature Reserve sharing a fenceless border with the Kruger National Park.
The original lodge in the collection, Thornybush Game Lodge, overlooks a water hole and riverbed, frequented by elephants and buffalo. It also offers fantastic small delights like the Sunbirds, attracted to the surrounding aloes.
The lodge has 20 Luxury Suites, with 18 offering spectacular river-facing views. The suites have large windows and giant sliding doors, and private decks. The 2 Family Suites include a private plunge pool.
