Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp

Botswana | Okavango Delta

The intimate camp features only ten safari canvas tents, each individually designed, furnished with African antiques that exude a classic and understated elegance that harks back to the explorers of the 19th century. Each tent has a large wooden deck providing private areas where you can relax while soaking in the surrounding sights and sounds, or enjoy cocktails before dinner is served in the spectacular dining mess.

This classic tented safari camp sits amidst 260,000 acres of untamed African bush in a private concession in the renowned Okavango Delta, bordering the southern section of the famous Moremi Game Reserve. The camp is accessible by air from Maun (15 minutes), Kasane (1 hour 30 minutes), and Sanctuary Chief’s Camp airstrip (10 minutes).

The natural wonders of the area constantly change over the seasons from lush green when the rain flows down the Angolan highlands, to dry savannah when the neighbouring Kalahari Desert tightens its grip on the terrain.

From the swimming pool, watch giraffe and other plains game march across the savannah. You might even catch a glimpse of rare wild dogs stalking the plains.

Activities include seasonal mokoro excursions, viewing several active hyena dens close to camp, safari drives, guided walks, night drives, cruises on the Okavango, bird watching & fishing. Helicopter flips are available upon request.
