Sausage Tree Camp is set in the most stunning location on the banks of the Zambezi River in the heart of Lower Zambezi National Park’s best game viewing area. Voted “Best Location in Africa” in 2016, the camp overlooks an expanse of narrow channels and low-set reed islands teeming with game, with the magnificent Zambezi escarpment as the backdrop.
A maximum of eighteen guests is accommodated in seven luxury suites which consist of lounge & dining areas, a large deck, and a private plunge pool. The Kigelia family tent is made up of 2 ensuite bedrooms joined together by an open plan dining and lounge area with its own private plunge pool. Rooms are fitted with a minibar, private pool, fridge, mosquito nets, inside and outside shower as well as a bath and a fan.
The recently rebuilt Front of House tent houses the dining, lounge, and bar areas and connects to a large 25m lap pool which is idyllically situated overlooking the mighty Zambezi River. The lodge offers complimentary Wi-Fi and laundry service. Private vehicles are available on request and there is also the option of babysitting service, room service, and a complimentary airport shuttle.
Activities include bird watching, day and night game drives, game walks, canoeing, catch and release fishing, and even a practice green for keen golfers.
