Kosi Forest Lodge is located 5hr drive from Durban & 7hr30 min drive from Johannesburg, within the glorious iSimangaliso Wetland Park, South Africa’s first World Heritage Site, offering an untold biodiversity and beauty. The 11,000 hectare of Kosi Bay Nature Reserve offers, blue sea, wetlands & lakes.

This protected wetland spans 332,000 hectares and is home to the oldest land mammal, the Rhinoceros, the largest land mammal, the Elephant, & shares & ecosystem with the oldest fish, the Coelacanth & the biggest marine mammal, the Whale.

Kosi Forest lodge offers 6 twin & 2 family, rustic but comfortable Tent style thatched forest rooms, nestled under the milkwood trees. The rooms are built on raised platforms and connect you to the outdoors. The highlight at Kosi Forest is the outdoor bathrooms, surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of the sand forest.

Facilities include a lounge, dining room & bar, all opening on a wooden deck and a tucked away forest boma. The lodge also boasts a bird hide nestled in the sand forest, and a swimming pool overlooking Lake shengeza.

Activities available are guided Canoeing on Kosi Lakes, boat trips, Raffia Forest Walks, day trips & snorkelling to Kosi Bay Mouth, turtle tracking & bird watching.
