Phinda Forest Lodge is located 6 hr 24 min drive from Johannesburg and approximately 3 hr drive from King Shaka International Airport, in the 28,555 ha, Big 5, Phinda Private Game Reserve.
The lodge, one of the first eco-lodge is set in the heart of a shaded 1,000 hectare sand forest (Africa’s last remaining dry sand forest) and enveloped by a dense canopy of overhanging torchwood trees. The 16 glass-walled suites offer incredible surrounding views of the forests, giving game viewing a unique angle with plenty duiker and bushbaby visits.
The facilities include a rim-flow swimming pool overlooking a small waterhole, expansive decks, panoramic views of an open grassy meadow, a lounge, interactive kitchen, dining area, and boma area.
Twice daily open vehicle game drives are available during your stay, along with bush walks on request.
