Bakubung Bush Lodge is a resort-style lodge located 2hr34 min drive from Johannesburg and 10 minutes from Sun City, in the Pilanesberg National Park, a malaria-free, 57,000-hectare reserve where you can see the big five from your room, or on a game drive through the reserve. It ranks as the 4th largest of the parks in South Africa and covers an area of some 55, 000 hectares which boast both undulating hills as well as seemingly endless open grassy plains.

Bakubung, or “People of the Hippo”, features 76 thatched-roof lodge rooms – curved into a horseshoe around the entertainment areas, overlooking a water hole, and boasting great views out onto the bush of the Pilanesberg. 

It has 11 standard rooms with 2 queen size beds, 55 standard twin rooms with 2 double beds, both perfect for families, 20 standard king rooms, 9 luxury king rooms, and 4 executive suites.

The lodge facilities include a swimming pool with kiddies splash pool, lounge with fireplace, kids playground, tennis courts, wildlife centre, restaurant, cocktail & pool bar, bush boma, volleyball court, gym, Legacy Balance Spa & conference venues.

Twice daily open vehicle game drives are available during your stay.
